Fuel Cell Materials

Due to problems of obtaining the fuel cell anode, we no longer sell this as a separate item. We can still sell small quantities of the air cathode that is used in our Mini Fuel Cell. This product can also be used to make metal/air batteries. We sell it in two convenient sizes.

Air Cathode:

This can easily be cut to shape using good scissors, yet being on a nickel mesh it is quite robust. The catalyst is manganese, on a carbon support, with a PTFE binder. It can be glued to almost all plastics using Loctite 406 instant adhesive, provided that the surface to be glued is treated with Loctite 757 primer. It is available in two sheet sizes:-

a) 10cm X 27 cm (Part no. EL01)
b) 20cm X 27 cm (~A4) (Part no. EL02)
